Have you already suffered from iced windows and mirrors of your car. Bad view results in an unnecessary danger. Let’s have a look at the wet/iced mirrors on a car.

Modern cars have aerodynamic features to lead away the rain from the mirror surface. They even have integrated heating devices to dry the mirrors by evaporation. The result is calcified mirrors with bad view again.

Solution

The solution could be a mirror which has ultrasonic actuators mounted to the backside. Once the mirror is vibrating ultrasonically with the right frequency and amplitude, it is repelling the water and doesn’t even get wet any longer. No calcification, no waterdrops and we proved it to ba able to remove even a thin layer of ice.
